Force of the cylinder pushing on an object, also known as the single acting force.
Formula: Pressure (PSI) x Cylinder Rod Area (( π x (cylinder diameter)^2)/4)
Cylinder Pull Force (LB-F)
Force of the cylinder pulling on an object, also known as the double acting force which takes account for the rod area.
Formula: Pressure (PSI) x Cylinder Rod Area ( π x (cylinder bore^2 – cylinder rod dia^2)/4)
